Coinciding with Earth Day, Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) in Queensland, one of the conservation groups who had tirelessly retrieved soaked animals from the rooftops of submerged homes or simply clinging to life on the trees during floods, addressed the impacts of habitat loss on wild animals. RSPCA said the wildlife admitted into their care are largely impacted by habitat loss, road accidents and disease.
