The Vasconcelos Library, which opened in 2006, is one of the largest of its kind in Mexico and one of the most-visited cultural centers in Mexico City. It is named after the Mexican politician Jose Vasconcelos. Take a closer look at the library on World Book Day.
In the library, an imposing gray whale skeleton welcomes more than 4,000 visitors every day. The soaring steel frames households hundreds of thousands of books. Despite the fact that the COVID-19 pandemic has made it less crowded than before, this library still has a considerable charm.
