Faro, a mechanical engineer, has been living for more than eight years as a displaced person in the Erbil Governorate of Iraqi Kurdistan region, where he and tens of thousands of Christians were forced to flee from the Nineveh Plains and the city of Mosul in 2014 after ISIS took control of it. Despite the return of many Christian families to their areas in Nineveh after the Iraqi security forces announced the liberation of the province and other cities from ISIS at the end of 2017, Faro decided to settle in Erbil and establish his own projec
