Argentine paleontologists have highlighted the scientific and historical importance of the discovery of fossil remains of "Maip Macrothorax", the largest megaraptor dinosaur ever found, which was recently presented at the Argentine Museum of Natural Sciences (MACN).
The recently identified dinosaur species lived in what is currently Argentina about 70 million years ago. Scientifically named "Maip Macrothorax", the ancient creature was between 9 and 10 meters long and weighed up to five tons.
