STORYLINE:
Some 400 nurses in Qingyang, northwest China's Gansu Province, set up the city's first Nightingale volunteer service team ahead of International Nurses Day, which falls on Thursday.
The team is led by Tuo Yali, one of three Chinese nurses who were awarded the Florence Nightingale Medal in 2021.
The Florence Nightingale Medal, introduced in 1912, is the highest international honor for nurses.
