In early 2020, affected by the outbreak of COVID-19, Dalian stopped live performances to avoid social gatherings. Encouraged by her enthusiastic fans, Ren Siyuan started to try performing online. Every night at 8:30, she begins livestreaming performance on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok. Traditional Chinese operas generally have four types of roles, namely "Sheng," "Dan," "Jing" and "Chou."
