The prices for a bundle of 100 lychee pieces range from 400-600 taka (4-6 U.S. dollars) in the retail markets in Dhaka. Although there are dozens of varieties grown all over Bangladesh, lychees from the country's western Rajshahi region, Dinanjpur district to be more specific, are very popular for their mouth-watering taste, special red colour, big size and thick pulp with smaller seed.
