STORYLINE:
The Dragon Boat Festival is traditionally celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth month on the Chinese lunar calendar. This year, it will be celebrated on Friday in China.
People in China usually race dragon boats and eat zongzi, a sticky rice dumpling wrapped up with bamboo or reed leaves during the festival.
Sangzhi County of central China's Hunan Province is famous for planting "zongzi leaves." Currently, there are 270,000 mu (18,000 hectares) of bamboo growing in the county, mostly on mountains more than 800 meters above sea level.
These high-quality leaves have found their way onto the dining tables across or even outside China.
