Farmers in the resources-rich Hasakah province of Syria are complaining about the U.S. forces, who are preventing the flow of wheat harvests to government-controlled areas.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Hasakah alone contributed about 36 percent of wheat production in the country.
During the Syrian war, Kurdish militias backed by the U.S. forces have taken big chunks of that key province.
