Three wildfires continue to burn out of control in Catalonia, northeast Spain, the region's fire services confirmed.
The wildfires have already devastated 1,100 hectares of land, despite the efforts of the fire department, which dispatched a total of 155 fire engines, aircraft and helicopters combatting the blaze.
Spain is affected by the hottest June temperatures seen in the past 20 years.
Spanish State TV network RTVE reported on Wednesday that 19,000 hectares of wood and scrubland have already been affected by wildfires in 2022, which doubled that of recent years.
