"The songs I wrote are all about the land, about rural revitalization. I hope to show the energy of the place through music.
Through music exchanges between the youth across the Strait, we go into the countryside and write songs for the countryside. Then we hope to create an album of village songs through such communications."
Lai is not alone. Wu Ping Chang, another Taiwanese interested in rural culture promotion in the mainland, came to Xiamen in 2018.
