STORYLINE:
Israel has been vaccinating its citizens against monkeypox since July 31.
The first batch of 5,600 doses of purchased monkeypox vaccine arrived last weekend, and the remaining 4,400 doses are expected to arrive within weeks.
Since the detection of the first case of monkeypox this May, a total of 153 cases of monkeypox have been reported in Israel, all are men.
On Tuesday, the country announced its first case of infection among health care workers.
