After an 8-year hiatus, EgyptAir's first flight, coming from Sharm El-Sheikh International Airport, arrived at Libya's Mitiga International Airport in Tripoli on Tuesday.
The flag carrier's flights will continue until Oct. 11 to transport groups of tourists from Libya to the Egyptian Red Sea resort city of Sharm El-Sheikh.
EgyptAir will operate a weekly flight between the two airports on board a Boeing B737-800 aircraft, which is capable of carrying up to 154 passengers, to promote Libyan tourism flow to Egypt.
