Nepal festival of thread

Nepali Hindu devotees throng the Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu taking holy bathe and perform rituals on the occassion of Janai Purnima. Celebrated on the month of Shrawan the festival is also known as festival of threads where Tagadharis (those who wear sacred thread crossing the chest) change their Janai (the sacred thread) and tie it on the wrist.
