GLOBALink | Understanding China through films: British filmmaker
British filmmaker and producer Malcolm Clarke was among the jury panel of the 12th Tiantan Award at the 12th Beijing International Film Festival that concluded Saturday.
Clarke first came to China 40 years ago to film a documentary about China's poverty alleviation.
Now living in Shanghai, the two-time Oscar winner has witnessed the great changes that have taken place in the country.
Clarke said that he wants to tell people about a China that is not different from any other country in the world through his films.
