Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro received on Monday the Colombian ambassador to Venezuela, Armando Benedetti, an event that signifies the official reestablishment of diplomatic relations between Venezuela and Colombia.
At the Miraflores Palace, Benedetti presented his diplomatic credentials accrediting him as the new ambassador in Caracas.
Benedetti arrived in Caracas on Aug. 28 for normalizing diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Venezuela and Colombia have moved to restore bilateral relations that have been broken for more than three years.
