The heatwave negatively affected Jordan's agricultural sector, leading to increased financial burdens on farmers, said the Jordanian Farmers Union on Sunday.
The multi-day heatwave last week has damaged some crops, increased the demand for water while raising the yields of several heat-resistant vegetables, causing a decline in their prices, Mahmoud Oran, president of the Jordanian Farmers Union, told Xinhua on Sunday.
