Fish raising using Fukushima nuclear plant treated water
File photo taken on Sept. 26, 2020, shows a bottle containing treated water from the crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant. A project is under way for the plant's operator Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings Inc. to raise fish in the diluted tritium-containing treated water to prevent reputational damage to marine products ahead of a plan to discharge treated water into the ocean from the spring of 2023.
