Efforts were made to clear blocked roads on a cliff in a quake-hit region in China's Sichuan to facilitate the search and rescue work.
A 6.8-magnitude earthquake jolted Luding County in Sichuan on Monday. 74 people have died.
Construction workers restored a 1.2-km road linking the epicenter, Moxi Town with Hailuogou scenic area, and blazed a new 200-meter-long path to villages cut off due to severely damaged roads.
Rescuers then managed to send drinking water, food, medicine and other relief supplies to local villagers.
