Egypt's Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly inspected charging stations for electric vehicles in the Red Sea resort city of Sharm El-Sheikh on Sunday.
The step came as part of the country's preparations to host the 27th session of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27) in the city in November.
While touring two charging stations for electric cars and buses, Madbouly test-drove an electric car and praised that cars assembled in Egypt had attracted lots of buyers.
Madbouly also emphasized the importance of eco-friendly projects in keeping the environment clean.
