Lusheng is a traditional Chinese folk musical instrument made of bamboo pipes. In 2006, China listed the craft of Lusheng making as the national intangible cultural heritage.
When festivals or important occasions come, Miao ethnic people in Maniao Village, southwest China's Guizhou Province, play Lusheng. The village has a long history of producing the instrument.
In recent years, the Lusheng-producing industry has seen robust development thanks to the support of the local government. It has not only helped Maniao villagers shake off poverty, but also laid a solid foundation for rural revitalization.
