STORYLINE:
Welcomed by some 1,500 lighting candles, visitors to Petra in southern Jordan indulge themselves in a unique night tour of the ancient city as part of the Petra by Night activity.
Petra is known as the "Rose-Red City" for the color of the stone from which it is carved. It is also one of the most famous archaeological sites in the world.
During the night tour, visitors, guided by candlelight, will pass through a 1.2-kilometer-long narrow gorge called Siq between the rocky mountains to reach the better-known monument in Petra, the Treasury.
The activity also features candles, lighting effects and music played by a traditional Bedouin flute called Shabbaba a
