STORYLINE:
Bangladesh on Tuesday marked World Tourism Day with various events including a colorful rally in capital Dhaka.
State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Mahbub Ali, among others, joined the rally in Dhaka, which showcased the rich culture and heritage of Bangladesh.
A week-long beach carnival is also organized to attract tourists to the world's longest beach in Cox' Bazar, some 400 km southeast of Dhaka.
The United Nations World Tourism Organization has marked World Tourism Day on September 27 since 1980.
This year's World Tourism Day was themed with "Rethinking Tourism."
