India's financial capital of Mumbai is celebrating the annual Hindu festival of Durga Puja, which is coming back after two years.
This year, Mumbai's "Bengal Club," a 100-year-old club, will be home to the city's tallest Durga idol at 18 feet high.
In 2020 and 2021, the celebrations were low-key affairs because of the pandemic. This year, the Durga Puja is on a grand scale as COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted.
Durga Puja, also known as Durgotsava or Sharodotsava, is an annual Hindu festival originating in the Indian subcontinent which reveres and pays homage to the Hindu goddess Durga.
It is particularly popular and traditionally celebrated in the Indian states of West Bengal, Bihar, Assam, Odisha, Tripura.
