The Egyptian Museum in Cairo recently inaugurated the exhibition of "The Treasure of Tanis," celebrating the 200th anniversary of the creation of the field of Egyptology and the decoding of ancient hieroglyphs.
Approximately 2,500 objects from the royal tombs of a number of kings and officials of ancient Egypt's 21st and 22nd Dynasty are on display, including golden masks, silver coffins, golden finger and toe covers, as well as vessels made of gold and silver.
