Former Nepal Cricket team captain detained on rape case

Rape accused Nepal's former national cricket team captain Sandeep Lamichhane walks out of Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu after being detained by Nepal Police. The former cricketer of Nepal is facing charges of raping a minor and had gone off the radar since a month while he was abroad playing international cricket. With whereabouts unknown, a diffusion notice from INTERPOL was issued while the court in Nepal had issued arrest warrant against him. Lamichhane is under investigation under the National Penal (Code) Act, 2017âs Section 219.
