The death toll from Hurricane Ian in the United States has exceeded 110, while hundreds of thousands remain without power.
A CNN tally on Wednesday showed that at least 110 people, including 105 in Florida and five in North Carolina, have died in the hurricane.
U.S. President Joe Biden on Wednesday traveled to Fort Myers, Florida, to survey storm-ravaged areas.
According to power outage tracking site PowerOutage.us., nearly 300,000 customers in Florida remained without power as of Wednesday afternoon.
Ian made landfall in southwestern Florida last week as a Category 4 hurricane, bringing catastrophic storm surges, heavy rains, destructive winds, and dangerous flooding.
