The Anatolian leopard, which is listed as endangered on the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) red list, was captured on camera again, Türkiye's Agriculture and Forestry Ministry announced on Monday.
The Anatolian leopard, whose existence has been proven in four regions of Türkiye, was captured this time thanks to the camera trap placed by the country's Agriculture and Forestry Ministry.
The ministry shared footage and photographs of the leopard that was spotted while wandering around a rural area.
An Anatolian leopard killed in 1974 in the capital Ankara's Beypazar district was assumed to be the last of its species.
