STORYLINE:
Famous for Pu'er tea, a deep-brewed tea with a sweet aroma, Pu'er City in southwest China's Yunnan Province is making a name for itself as China's coffee capital.
Pu'er has 668,000 mu (around 44,530 hectares) of coffee plantation in 2021, producing the highest yield of coffee beans of 46,000 tonnes in China.
This is thanks to the efforts of the local government to develop coffee planting and processing as a backbone industry.
