Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday demanded joint efforts to fight terrorism that poses a threat to the members of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
Putin said at a meeting with heads of security agencies and special services of the CIS countries via video link that the danger posed by international terrorist groups is not weakening and they are trying to infiltrate the CIS countries.
To strengthen anti-terrorism cooperation, Putin called on the CIS countries to exchange information on terrorist and extremist activities, and block penetration channels of terrorists under the cover of migration.
