A ceremony marking the 150th anniversary of the launch of Japan's first railway is held at JR Shimbashi Station in Tokyo on Oct. 14, 2022. Japan's first railway opened on Oct. 14, 1872, between Shimbashi and Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture.
