The 2022 Beijing Public Archaeology Season offers an opportunity for 20 volunteered families to get an experience at the Liulihe relic site, which was identified as the earliest traceable source of urban civilization in Beijing.
Guided by professional archaeologists, participants learned archaeological knowledge and got a closer look at the field archaeological process.
At the archaeological site which is still being excavated, participants not only visit but also executed a simulated exploration themselves by trying to use shovels, observing soil samples, and recording information.
