Xinglong Town in Wanning City is located at 18 degrees north latitude, an area that is rich in selenium, making it an ideal place to grow coffee. In the 1950s, returned overseas Chinese from Southeast Asia brought back not only coffee planting and production technology, but also the habit of drinking coffee. The first coffee factory was established in Xinglong in 1952, three years after the founding of New China. In recent years, the coffee business has skyrocketed in Wanning.
