STORYLINE:
Afghan authorities reactivated the only silo three decades after it was rendered idle in Mazar-i-Sharif city, capital of northern Balkh province, on Monday.

"At the moment one oven of the silo has begun operation to bake bread and efforts are underway to activate 18 other ovens to increase our products."
Like other infrastructures, the erstwhile Soviet Union-made silo in Mazar-i-Sharif has been damaged due to decades of war in the country.
This is the second silo that has been reactivated by the authorities in Afghanistan over several months.
