STORYLINE:
More than 1,000 whooper swans have arrived at the Shengtian Lake in north China's Shanxi Province to spend winter this year.
Covering an area of more than eight square kilometers, Shengtian Lake sits in a major wetland under national protection along the Yellow River.
Every year from October, migratory swans come and forage along the Yellow River, and stay in wetland for wintering.
Besides comfortable climate, abundant food and improved environment here are also important reasons to draw migratory birds.
