                  TOKYO, Japan - Mataro Ningyo Co., a doll maker in Tokyo, releases dolls Nov. 16 representing major events in Japan this year. The male doll on the left at the bottom is modeled after South Korean Bae Yong Jun, star of the hit TV drama ''Winter Sonata.'' The pair on the right at the bottom are modeled after Kyoko Hamaguchi, the women's freestyle wrestling bronze medalist in the Athens Olympics, and her father and professional wrestler Animal Hamaguchi. The doll on the left in the middle is modeled after Seattle Mariners' Ichiro Suzuki, who set a major league single-season hit record this year.

The pair on the left, called ''structural reform dolls,'' are modeled after Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi and Land, Infrastructure and Transport Minister Chikage Ogi. The other pair depict Seattle Mariners outfielder Ichiro Suzuki and his wife Yumiko.
