STORYLINE:
The Spanish government has stepped up security as at least six packages containing explosives have been reported recently.
On Thursday afternoon, a letter bomb was detected and detonated at the U.S. embassy in Madrid, which was the sixth publicly known letter bombs sent to high-profile targets in the country.
On Wednesday, the first package was sent to the Ukrainian embassy in Madrid and a staff member was slightly injured.
The second package arrived the same afternoon at "Instalaza," an arms company located in northeast Spain's Zaragoza.
