According to the Demiroren news agency, the collision occurred while the bus was crossing the railway passage in the Eyupsultan district on the European side of the city. Ambulances and firefighters were dispatched to the scene, and four of the injured were in critical condition. Both the bus and the tram were filled with commuters. The crash heavily damaged the bus, and a vehicle passing on the road at the time was also damaged. The cause of the accident was not immediately clear.
