STORYLINE:
An exhibition themed "Fashion for tea" opened to public in Moscow on Friday.
The Museum of V.A.Tropinin and Contemporary Moscow Artists, together with other institutions, demonstrated the history of tea drinking from pre-revolutionary Russia.
Some of the artefacts such as confectionery packaging, still art and graphics from the museums' and private collections were presented for the first time.
In the end of the 18th century tea became an important part of Russia's public life.
It was served at educational institutions, taverns, charity fairs and military organizations.
