STORYLINE:
At the second phase of the 15th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP15), which opened on Wednesday in Montreal, Canada, the China Pavilion has attracted a lot of attention by showing tea-making techniques.
China is known as the hometown of tea. For thousands of years, tea has been deeply rooted in Chinese culture and has been an integral part of Chinese people's daily life.
On Nov. 29, China's traditional tea-making was added to the intangible cultural heritage list of the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), a milestone for the global recognition of China's tea culture.
