Lion dance closes Nagano Olympics
A traditional ''shishi-mai'' or lion dance is performed at the closing ceremony of the Nagano Winter Olympics on Feb. 22. The dance spread throughout Japan in the medieval period (13-16th centuries) as a form of exorcism.
