Hyundai founder Chung crosses Panmunjom

Chung Ju Yung (C), founder of South Korea's Hyundai business group, crossed through the truce village of Panmunjom in the demilitarized zone June 16 to deliver 500 head of cattle to North Korea for agricultural purposes. The photo shows Chung petting one of the cattle just before going to Panmunjom. Chung is the first South Korean business executive to visit the North via Panmunjom.

Cruise ship departs for N. Korean tour

The Hyundai Kumgang, a cruise ship operated by South Korea's Hyundai Business Group, sets sail from Tonghae port on the east coast of South Korea on Nov. 18 for its first official sightseeing trip to North Korea's Mt. Kumgang. The first tourist ship service between North and South Korea since the end of the Korean War in 1953, is expected to become a major means of private-sector inter-Korean exchanges.

S. Korean business leader back after an eight-day trip
