A resident of the flooded western Japan city of Kochi uses a canoe to move from one place to another Sept. 25. Heavy rains hit Kochi Prefecture on Shikoku Island, causing flooding throughout the area. A record rainfall of 240 millimeters was registered in the prefectural capital of Kochi between midnight Sept. 24 and 11 a.m. Sept. 25.
