NHL ice hockey back in Japan
The National Hockey League's (NHL) Calgary Flames beat the San Jose Sharks 5-3 on Sunday Oct. 11 in the second of two games at Tokyo's Yoyogi Stadium. The season opening Oct. 10 game, played before a crowd of 8,400, ended in a 3-3 tie. Sunday's game featured the first NHL hat-trick in Japan -- Flames' star Theoren Fleury (R) scored three goals and got two assists. NHL season openers debuted in Japan last year.
