New 'bullet' train model unveiled

This goose bill-shaped train, unveiled in a tape-cutting ceremony at the Toyokawa factory of Nippon Sharyo, Ltd. on Dec. 22, is the latest in a series of Japan's shinkansen 'bullet' train models. The new train is to be put in service on the JR route between Tokyo and Hakata, Fukuoka Prefecture, on Jan. 13.
