Korean tower relocated to inside Hiroshima peace park

A stone tower dedicated to Korean victims of the 1945 U.S. atomic bombing of Hiroshima is relocated June 14 to inside the western Japan city's Peace Memorial Park. Supporters of the pro-Seoul Korean Residents Association in Japan (Mindan) built the tower across the river from the west side of the park in 1970 because the Hiroshima municipal government decided in 1967 not to allow any new cenotaphs inside the park.
