Northern Kyushu hit by heavy rain

The Meteorological Agency said an active seasonal rain front brought heavy rain to regions from Kyushu in southwestern Japan to Tokai in central Japan. As much as 200 millimeters of rain is expected in northern Kyushu and the Shikoku and Chugoku areas, western Japan, over a 24-hour period from Tuesday morning, the agency said.
