Opposition lawmakers protest termination of voting
TOKYO, Japan - With voting cards in their hands, opposition lawmakers protest the decision by House of Councillors President Juro Saito to terminate a voting session on the dismissal of Kiyohiro Araki from the post of chairman of the upper house Judicial Affairs Committee around 2 a.m. on Aug. 12. Some of the opposition lawmakers had yet to cast their votes.
