State Foreign Secretary Machimura arrives in E. Timor
DILI, East Timor - Japanese State Foreign Secretary Nobutaka Machimura arrives Aug. 15 at an airport in Dili, the capital of East Timor, where a historic referendum on autonomy will be held Aug. 30. ''I want to let the people here know that Japan is concerned about East Timor,'' Machimura, the highest-ranking Japanese official to visit East Timor, said after arriving in Dili for a two-day visit.
