Fashion designer Takada announces retirement

PARIS, France - Kenzo Takada, 60, one of Japan's top fashion designers, announces in Paris on Sept. 10, his retirement in October. His work in women's pre-a-porter is to be turned over to French designer Gilles Rosier, 38, and menswear, to Danish designer Roy Krejberg, 38. Takada plans to hold the last show of his ''Kenzo Collection'' in Paris on Oct. 7.
